Båramo to be more integrated into Europe’s railway network through ScanMed RFC

Emanuele Mastrodonato, Managing Director of ScanMed RFC stated: “Terminals are key partners of the Railway Network Managers to present a complete and comprehensive market offer to potential applicants. The transport market decision-makers are comparing and combining transport modes and asking for competitive, easy, and green transport services. We welcome, therefore, the strengthened cooperation with Båramo Intermodal Terminal.  We are eager to develop new business cases together. 

On the 28th of January 2020, the Vaggeryd Municipality in Sweden published a press release in reference to the news that the Båramo Intermodal terminal becoming more integrated into the railway network in Europe through its co-operation with ScanMed RFC. This will come into effect in December 2020.

The chairman of the Municipality council, Mr. Gert Jonsson, stated:

“For the municipality of Vaggeryd, and the region’s industry, the appointment in ScanMed is valuable. Better, more sustainable transports increase the attractiveness for new establishments in the municipality and surrounding areas. It also increases the competitiveness of surrounding municipalities and their business sector.”
